What to Expect

FIRST TIME GUESTS:
Visitors are always welcome at Walker URC. You will be warmly greeted by an elder and/or a family of the congregation when you enter.
 

HEARING LOOP:
Our sanctuary is equipped with the Hearing Loop System for those who have hearing aids with telecoils (T-coils). We also can provide a personal receiver for those do not have T-coil equipped hearing aids.

 
SUNDAY WORSHIP:
The worship services at Walker are dialogical, that is: God speaks to us and we respond. He speaks to us in His call to worship, His law, His assurance of pardon and the sermon. We respond in songs, prayers of confession, thanksgiving and intercession and in our offerings.

 
MUSIC:
We sing psalms and hymns accompanied by an organ and/or piano.

 
CENTRALITY OF PREACHING AND GOD'S WORD:
Every service you will hear God's Word preached directly out of the pages of the Bible (we use the ESV). If you want to know more, check out the Sermon Audio section of our site. You can listen to our Pastor's messages there.
